Surviving Interview Panels and Psychometric Tests
Faced with an Interview Panel?
Panels are a rotten way to interview and are a sign of lack of confidence or too much bureaucracy (nobody wants to take responsibility).
Good ones have a plan of who asks what; bad ones don't.
Don't panic - it's not a firing squad.
Look at the person who asked the question when you're answering, but scan the rest for reactions/ understanding.
Don't fidget - someone will be watching!

Surviving a Psychometric Test
Companies which use good Psychometric Tests (e.g. Myers Briggs, 16PF, OPQ) invest in their people and have a professional personnel team - a good sign.
Just answer the questions - don't try to be clever or give them what you think they want
You can't cheat - there are lie detectors built in which produce a dishonesty score!
You should receive feedback, face to face, on the same day as you are tested - it's your intellectual property.
If you don't, it's a bad sign. They're breaking the rules.
Even if you don't get the job, you've won something if you get useful feedback from the test
