BOOKCAREERS INITIATIVE
ARE YOU AN EMPLOYER, RECRUITER OR A PUBLISHER?
This is how you can help with the Bookcareers Initiative:
1. Sign up for a list of who is looking for work.
We aim to make available a list of candidates for you to source. To sign up, please email suzanne @bookcareers.com and mention that you are an employer.
2. Make an appointment with the Initiative to come and talk to our members. If you have a number of vacancies (e.g. a new business venture) or some special information to impart, email suzanne @bookcareers.com to fix up a date.
3. Do you have spare proof copies or extra copies of relevant books?
Given their publishing background, our Initiative consists of people who read lots of books. Any donations are helpful. Surplus copies will be given to the Book Trade Charity BTBS for their next book sale.
4. Are you a Trainer within the industry?
Our Initiative consists of people who need new skills. Come and talk to us about what is important right now. Email suzanne @bookcareers.com
5. Make a donation to The Book Trade Charity BTBS.

WHAT IS IT?
Bookcareers Initiative is a networking group/job club specifically created to help those already within the industry who are currently unemployed and facing a prolonged job search.
There will be three groups:
Bookcareers Initiative Professionals* meets in London twice a month. This is aimed at Directors, Managers and Senior staff.
Bookcareers Initiative Associates* meets in London once a month and is aimed at those who are first/second jobbers, have limited experience or a recognised publishing qualification.
Bookcareers Initiative Oxford meets in Oxford, currently once a month. This may split into two groups if necessary.
