The UK Career Development Awards, are organised by the Career Development Institute, (CDI), the UK-wide professional body for all Careers Advisors and Practitioners.

The bookcareers.com Salary Survey consists of over 100 pages and 200 tables, covering salary, training, education, inclusivity and employment trends within book publishing, based on over 1000 responses from individuals working within the industry. The shortlist nomination reflects the importance of research undertaken and the resulting Labour Market Information that has been published.   As a direct result of the bookcareers.com Salary Survey, publishing companies are able to benchmark salaries and track employment and recruitment trends. Careers Advisors can use the report to support those considering book publishing as a career, as they can advise on what salary to expect at entry level, for each job title, and an estimate of salary as they progress their career.

The winner of the Award will be announced at the UKCDA ceremony, following the Awards Dinner in March 2018. This Award is sponsored by the Education Development Trust and will be presented by a representative from that organisation.
