Book Marketing Society Members’ Meeting

01/11/2016 @ 16:30 - 18:00

Join us at our members’ meeting, our final for the year, in what promises to be a busy session packed with case studies, campaign tips and audience insights, plus a special keynote from Facebook’s Head of Entertainment for Europe.
We’re working to make the meetings as useful as possible so you’ll find more examples of the great work our members are putting out with our snappy new ‘marketing moments‘ section, as well as an expanded look at the winners and campaigns we loved from the May-August Awards season.
The meeting will run from 4.30-6.30pm but due to security procedures please try to arrive by 4.15pm to allow enough time to get up to the room for the 4.30pm start.
Including:
SPECIAL KEYNOTE:
Glenn Miller, Head of Entertainment Media Partnerships EMEA at Facebook/Instagram will be demonstrating how publishing marketers can best make the most of the opportunities that live streaming offers through Facebook’s rapidly growing platform.
5-MINUTE ‘MARKETING MOMENTS’:

Transworld’s Janine Giovanni, on the hugely successful fan-generated ebook that launched the Unmumsy Mum campaign
Simon & Schuster Children’s Elisa Offord, on the nationwide ASDA partnership for Supertato: Veggies Assemble, which saw involvement from more than 400 branches and hundreds of schools
Ross Fraser, on his content-driven campaign in collaboration with LinkedIn for Matthew Syed’s Black Box Thinking (John Murray / Hodder) , which directly engaged business professionals and aspirational readers
PLUS
Sam Missingham and Lana Beckwith from HarperCollins will be talking about their new publisher-agnostic book events platform BookGig
Steve Bohme from Nielsen Book Research will be demonstrating how you can use Nielsen data to gain top reader insights when preparing your fiction backlist campaigns
Updates on exciting plans for the BMS in 2017
Plus a closer look at all the winners and highlights from the May-August 2016 Marketing Campaign Awards, followed by drinks
