Foreword Thinking: Publishing for the Future

The Society of Young Publishers Scotland presents its 2022 Spring Hybrid Conference, Foreword Thinking: Publishing for the Future.

After the success of last year’s SYP Scotland virtual conference, CTRL ALT Refresh, which addressed the aftermath of the pandemic and the adaptations of the publishing industry as a result, we are back with a hybrid conference taking place in Edinburgh on Friday 25 March, and online on Saturday 26 March 2022.

We’ve got a series of timely and important panel discussions and a workshop planned, featuring a fantastic set of speakers. Join us as we address the impact of the past on the progression of the industry, including changes for the better as we navigate the future, together.

Our conference will encompass relevant topics such as unions and workers’ rights, demystifying the roles of agenting and scouting, unlocking the secrets behind acing publishing interviews, and showcasing the varied publishing landscape in Scotland, among many more.

In this hybrid model, you can purchase the full conference access ticket, which will grant you access to the in-person events and digital access to the online sessions. But if you cannot make it to Edinburgh on 25 March, fear not! With the digital-access ticket, you can catch the recordings of the in-person events and attend the digital ones live on Zoom on 26 March. All recordings from both days of the conference will be available to ticket-buyers till 31 May 2022.
