The role
We have an opening for a Freelance Administration Assistant working up to 16 hours a week.
Some of this role will be based near Southend-on-Sea, Essex, and there may be an opportunity for some remote working.
Due to the support nature of this job, THIS IS NOT a fully remote role. Ideally you’ll be located in the Southend-on-Sea area, but we will consider other Essex based applicants. All applicants must be based in the UK with a UK Tax number.

Accuracy is key in this role. You’ll need to be reliable, and able to read and understand instructions. You will have a good eye for detail, being able to prevent as well as spot mistakes. You’ll be supporting all the activities of and therefore helping with a wide variety of tasks. This will include diary management, proofreading, writing newsletters, social media and research and you’ll get the opportunity to contribute ideas too. You must be extremely well organised, have a systematic approach to work, be a good problem solver and ideally familiar with task or project management systems.

Desired Attributes
Desired software knowledge includes Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, WordPress and you’re likely to be active on social media.
A knowledge of publishing or a keenness to work in book publishing will be a huge advantage, as many of our previous assistants go on to find permanent roles within the industry. You’ll be expected to sign a Confidentiality Agreement.
