The Springer Nature Opening Doors Programme; Open Access Editorial Performance internship is a paid opportunity for students and recent graduates in the UK to gain experience in research and science news publishing in our journals, books or magazines.

The successful applicant will learn within the Editorial Performance, Journal Special Projects team, part of the Research Publishing division of Springer Nature. If selected for this internship, you will be responsible for supporting the project teams working on new journal launches. Tasks will include supporting the recruitment of Editorial Board Members, including identification of subject experts. You will also assist with journal content acquisition projects, including topic and author research. You will also maintain project spreadsheets, data and reports and assist with ad hoc tasks related to new launch management as needed.

About us:
The Springer Nature Journals group aims to support researchers in communicating and advancing discovery for a better world. We do this by providing a trusted environment in which researchers can quickly, easily and transparently share their discoveries, data and research stories.

About you:

•  Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate programme, or be a recent graduate, preferably in a scientific or engineering discipline
• Available to start in June 2023 for an internship of up to six months, depending on your preference
• Excellent communication skills are key to this role – both written and verbal
• Strong interest in research publishing
